Social Justice Advocacy

Advocacy Partners

As a Matthew 25 church, we are called to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, welcome the stranger, visit the prisoner, and care for the sick. We are also called to work in the public realm to build a more just society, seeking to eliminate the root causes of poverty, violence, racism and inequality. Current advocacy priorities focus on racial justice, immigrant/refugee justice, climate justice and reducing gun violence.

If you would like to learn more about advocacy issues and to join the Advocacy@2ndPres email list, please contact Sally Johnston, Advocacy Coordinator for the Mission and Advocacy Council.
