This month  we will  continue studying

In the Beginning: Perspectives on Genesis

by Celia Brewer Sinclair & Kikanza Nuri Robins

In the Beginning examines familiar stories from a fresh point of view.  This study also calls attention to parts of Genesis that are less familiar; characters who have been ignored; and voices that have been muted, if not outright silenced.  Genesis is filled with accounts of relationships between women, between wives and husbands, between mothers and children.  Just as each character in the book of Genesis brings a unique perspective to the story, it is understood that each person using this study brings an outlook, a context, and a history that is uniquely her own.  In the Beginning celebrates this diversity and the gifts that come from varied and distinct points of view.  If you would like to join us, please contact Nelle Pender at 288-0337.
