Come to our Opening Bible Study led by Dr. Brian Blount, President of Union Presbyterian Seminary on Saturday, September 18 at 11:00 am.  A light lunch will be served. Bring sandwiches to share!

Circle 3 will have their first meeting on Tuesday, September 7 at 7:00 pm at Panera bread at Willow Lawn.

Witnessing the Promise

The Presbyterian Women of Second Presbyterian Church are an integral part of the life and ministry of the church. They are committed to the following purposes:

  • Nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study
  • Support the mission of the church worldwide
  • Work for justice and peace
  • Build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church USA and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.
We are calling all women of Second Presbyterian Church to join the Presbyterian Women circles. We have formed three circles that will meet monthly from October through May. A joint meeting takes place in September and June. Our Bible study for the year will be the Book of Revelation.

Circle One
Leaders: Mary Nelson Myers and Christiane Rimbault
11:00 am first Tuesday at Westminster-Canterbury, sixth-floor Tower lounge
Please bring a sandwich. Refreshments and dessert will be served.

Circle Two
Leader: Diane Carter
11:00 am first Tuesdays at members’ homes
Please bring a sandwich. Refreshments and dessert will be served.

Circle Three
Leader: Elva Mapp
7:00 pm first Wednesdays at Panera Bread in Willow Lawn
