Buy Fair Trade Coffee

Our Fair Trade Coffee sales at Second Presbyterian Church feature coffees from Equal Exchange. Equal Exchange is coffee with a mission.  It seeks to balance the inequities found in the conventional coffee trade and makes fairly traded coffee available to congregations throughout the PCUSA. Your purchase of fair trade coffee, for personal use, for work, or as a gift, can help struggling farmers all over the world.

How Does Your Purchase Help?

Your purchase of this high-quality coffee helps small farmers who receive a higher (fairer) price for the sale of their coffee beans. You are also supporting the environment since Equal Exchange Coffee is shade grown using sustainable farming methods. Small farmers work together in local cooperatives, which improve their ability to sell their coffee for a better price.  In Guatemala one of the farmers commented, “The premiums we receive from selling our coffee through fair trade help us to send our children to school.”
