Adult Church School

Adult Church School Classes are a great place to connect with others, grow in knowledge and faith, and belong to the Church Family. Classes begin Sunday at 9:30 am and conclude at 10:45 am Adult Sunday School classes that are being offered this fall are:

Let’s Talk About It - Conversations with Two Theology Guys -

Doug Hicks and Alex Evans will combine their wit and wisdom for this engaging class. Topics will include: contemplating God; respecting other faiths; asking, who is Jesus, really?; reconsidering sin; dealing with politics; going to work with faith; living in a wired world; etc., etc.  We will all seek to grow in faith and understand more fully a call to live as Jesus’ disciples.  This Class will meet in Room 308.

Faith and Literature Class -

The Faith and Literature class reads and discusses literary selections in terms of what they say about our lives, "matters of life and death," and the faith questions and answers that each selection suggests. During the fall the class will read stories from Expecting Goodness and Other Stories, a collection edited by C. Michael Curtis (ed. of God: Stories and Faith: Stories, both of which we have read in the past).  Daniel Moore will lead the class in reading and discussing Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman.  Other class facilitators are Marjorie Clark, Betty Dickie, and Lollie Hoel.

Artistic Faith Expressions

Janice McMurray and Dottie Thomason will coordinate this class of creativity and artistic expression. They have several projects lined up for the class to accomplish, which will enhance our church and the members of this creative, meaningful group. This class will meet in Room 301.  Come share your creative gifts and grow in your faith!

The Forum Class

Our reformed tradition calls us to live responsibly as Christians.  Through the perspective of the Reformed faith, the Forum Class selects issues that impact our community and world and invites speakers with knowledge of those issues. Presentations are followed by class discussion and dialogue. Class meets in the Dining Room.
